true, but either way he is still going to have to be carefull with either setup! I would just prefer the ITR motor cuz I got one and it puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it!

well no shit. but let's think for a second. If we wanted to get 250 hp to the wheels on a type R. How much $$$$ are we going to have to spend vs. an LS? that i think, is the main argument here. you'd spend a good 4k on just the ITR motor. for add on's ie. lower comp pistons, rods, cams and the turbo alone are going to run you out the ass. so the answer is turbo the LS, and smoke the type R's all fucking day. i drove my friend's turbo LS, the gobs of tourque you get with f/i alone, is worth it. just do it right, and it will be about as reliable as it was before.

yea it will be alot of money if you do the ITR swap but thats what you get if want a good motor. and for smoking type r's you would have to spend good money on the turbo setup to get good times cuz his car is automatic, which i would change to manual and all you have to add to the ITR for safety measure is some nitrous which would only cost about 500 bucks compared to 3000-5000 for a turbo setup with no problems, so it really boils down to what he wants, personally if he already has the car with a good running motor then just turbo it now if cash is no problem then go with the ITR motor. but thats just my opinion.
