LS B-18 turbo or LS B-18 V-tec Turbo???
Alright here is the deal......
You can build LS Turbo and still get high boost or you can go LS VTEC and get even more power. I have a B18C1 with CTR Cams, I haven't find out anything yet because I am in the midst of finishing the motor which is setup for Turbo (expecting more than 300 hp). The motor has forged internals large CC injectors and every little tuning and bolt on possible on it....
If you plan on building a turbo LS VTEC plan on spending alot of money most definitely go with forged internals, that goes goes for the LS Turbo too. As for horsepower numbers expect more than 55hp try at least a total of 300hp or more....... If you get the right bottom end and a built up head you will have a pretty stout motor. You might also want to look into injectors that will play a big part in the horsepwer game. If you need some more advice let me know......
I am going through what you want to do just without the LS Vtec I am instead building up my B18C1 that is near completion. But like I said before expect to be dumping alot of money and don't chince on anything. Less will break that way!

As for the suspension, just invest in a set of good shocks, like Koni adjustables or Tien. I have the Koni Yellows with H&R springs and the car handles just fine. You might want to look into a strut tower brace and some sway bars those usually help alot too.

OK heres the DL !!! LS VTEC Good Power NA Lower compression with forged internals and yoll have a nice runig motor !! BUT !!! LS TURBO is way more potent !! look at cheesefrog runing a straight LS Setup and pumping like 400ponies !! If i had an LS id go LS Turbo before LS VTEC but i like that gay ass VTEC kick over sound !! The LS VTEC is a powerful combo but weak fortatude wise ! Evans (roadtaoads) GSR block is ok but id rather have the beefyness of a LS block supporting my power. If you like living on the edge you can go B20 VTEC Turbo ! but thats very unstable.
Ive already made a list in the Forcd induction site about this stuff. Go check it out.
I will say this.. when I assymbled evans motor I noticed some differences in that from the LS block and frankly I think the LS is much more ballsy !! So in IMHO id do a Straight LS Turbo for maximum power and If you want mild and wild fun power Go LS VTEC Turbo Its really dependent on your flowage !! and knowledge.

"As for horsepower numbers expect more than 55hp try at least a total of 300hp or more......."
Evan he met from just the turbo, like add that on top of what the motor makes ie your motor will push like 220 itself then add the turbo at like 100hp ontop of that and you create 320 under whatever PSI you run and that will be decided on by your tuning and how much fuel you get !!
Good example My Z24 had 160hp on the motor or so when i added the N20 I had like 210 with 100shot and you could say i had 50 extra ponies from the N20. Thats where his 55 hp came in to affect at not his total yield, and that wasa GST whooping machine !!! I miss old Blue *BLUE YOUR BOY... YOURE MY BOY BLUE !!*
