an LS1 i have faith in pushing 500+ consistantly, but an LT1, with the crank and hypereutectic pistons, i dunno, even being conservative, i think it could be trouble.

Thanks for all the great feed back guys.
Here is something to see.
I cut out where my t-tops would have sat and installed plexiglass.
Its been like this for about 6mths. The turbo being in the rear does not even
get hot enough to turn it yellow.

FYI. the speed limiter is set to the stock tire rating. Ive seen a LS1 Z28 limited to 110 MPH because it had the Goodyear RSA tires. Not all LS1 or LT1s came from the factory with Z rated tires.

Pressure Drop = Intercooler is doing its job. Of course you won't get as much pressure drop mounted on top of the motor, because it doesn't do shit compared to a front mount.

in the world of turbo's that would be correct, as boost is regulated by the wastegate...but for me, pressure drop = centrifical blower having to pressurize all the extra piping to any larger setup, where as i only have to pressurize 3ft of 3" right now.

and it wouldnt be on top of the motor for the plain fact, heat rises.
