nitrous = butt load of tq - on motor, you wont ever make huge tq. on motor you are limiting yourself so much. turbo, that is another sick story. turbo = huge tq at low rpm as well! lots of combos. when it comes to forced induction, cubes really play a low role. there is a replacement for displacement.

oh and one more thing, the fastest 4th gen is a 387" c5r procharged motor. just something also to think about.

The only problem with turbos and nitrous is trying to get it to hook on the street. Vince isnt a track guy and Im with him on that. When I had my 150 shot, it wouldnt hook untill most of the way through 2nd or going into 3rd. Turbo will be the same way when it spools and dumps that TQ in a low RPM....

You should look into a stroker now... The prices are awesome now... I would have a stroker now if I had the $$$$. Eagle is going to rock the LS1 world!

Superchargers are awesome, but hardly anyone can get 600 RWHP from them because of the pulleys spinning on the crank snout. People keep sheering off the pin kits and whatnot.. Maybe the Eagle crank will have dual keyways? That would be killer!

Right now I am just putting away money. I do not want this car to end up with high compression, using a supercharger to spool up a turbo and 3 stages of nitrous just to keep the car cool.. I can honestly say I do not know what I want.

Turbo! Just get one of those fancy electronic boost controllers to lower the boost based on gear and rpm, like the fwd'ers do.

As of now there are no GOOD street LS1 turbo setups that are worth the money. I can buy another 00 F-body for the price it would cost me to build a good turbo setup for my car that would see its full potential.

so what is wrong with a progressive control for the nitrous? guys have used them on the street for years. low low nitrous on the take off and full nitrous at wot at a certain rpm. also vince i totally agree that the price of a total combo for turbo + tuning issues + keeping the heads from lifting = expensive power. i dont like the idea of being the guini pig (and usually on the bad end) of new combos.

The only problem I have with a progressive controller is the complaints of how hard it is on the noids.. I have a two stage setup on my car right now.. As of the last time I dyno'd I was putting out a LOT OF POWER. Yes I could easily go with another 348ci and hope to make more power NA than I did last time, but I might go with something a little bigger. I want to be able to run REAL strong NA as well. I have already made up my mind I am going to purchase another car as well. I just hope the person that offered this car to me holds it for me. I might even make payments on it post getting the SS running again.
