When I went, they told us we were not to play with the shifter, because there was no tranny fluid or anything in the car, and that it would damage it. But it was okay for them to roll the car up the ramp into the showroom with that same absence of fluids.....yeah....that wasn't bad for it.

 

Like a said before, they dont want dreamers playing with it that have no money. So instead of calling out out and saying "you have no intention of buying this car", its just easier to say "dont mess with it"

Yea the guys at Lokey are cool as hell...i went there afterhours one night when they just got them, they unlocked the door, let me play around with it, etc...bullshitted with the manager about my car, the whole evo "story", all that shit. pretty cool.

I beleive Corey is correct here. A dealer with a limmited release vehicle on his showrom floor is likely to only let those with the cash to make the purchase mess with the car in question. They are not going to let any old teenage slapdick off the street come in and jack around with a car that starts at $30k+.

 

there was like 5 at moroso past weekend. one was bone stock that i got a look at, the other already had a maf adapter and conical air filter on it. the one ran and he put out a 13.xx @ like 96 or 98 i cannot remember. it was between 13.5 and 13.8 i believe, do not remember.

there were about 20 srt-4s there as well, some old guy ran a stock one (i think he was an employee from dodge because they had a display there with 5 or 6 of them) and ran a 14.3 at like 100mph because he wheel hopped and spun himself to like a 2.5 60'.

the evos seats are real comfy too. the one that ran launched pretty decently.
