Lowered Car In Deep Water

My end of town had some HEAVY rain today.

I'm glad my air intake is already high. Pity those folks with
a snorkle aimed down to the ground...........got a call from someone who just stalled out in the water......AAA towed them to the dealer.....dealer wanted 7 grand for an engine plus a swap. Also a fan that comes on with
the ignition on, in deep water, will blow water all over your engines electricals.......

1.If you haven't yet changed to a short air intake, it might be a good idea to do that until the rainy season is over.....carry the long one in the car for when you have a race....

2.If your fan comes on as soon as you cut the ignition on, you might
think about putting in a fan cutoff switch to stop the fan from blowing water all over your engines electricals......if the car stalls out in deep
water, you can't even open the door.....and now you are in some deep manure.... -Bob

 

All of that is pointless. Just don't drive in water like that. Problem solved.

Except you're the only one dumb enough to think that what this quoted post says is in any way shape or form related to driving into deep water.

 

there's minimal gains from short to cold air intakes anyways, especially on shitbox hondas making 160hp. i kept my intakes short, not worth the hassle.

fyi people, some roads have water on them that doesn't look deep and or has been navigated without issue before, but all it takes is a little bit, especially on MAF sensored cars to start bucking and sputtering. good luck just stopping in traffic if you encounter a puddle.

And you are correct. Don't drive but stop in a puddle is almost an
