I use Castrol 20w-50...I change it every 5-6k. Why? Because thats about when it starts to break down for me. Put over 100k miles on my 4g63 like that.

 

lol i dont let my oil get dark once it does i change it, i cant remember the last time i actually paid attention to my miles on my cars i put over 8k on my crx in 6 months lol

 

Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic and anything but a Fram filter every 3K miles. I figure even though oils don't break down like they used to, running a turbo car, it just makes me feel better knowing I change it often. When it comes out, it's not very dark.

 

Valvoline 10w30. Purolator Pure One filter. I usually change it 3k or 3 mo. I did a full rebuild on my bottom end last year and it runs amazing.

 

My car changes it own oil.

 

I don't change my oil. As soon as you start taking care of KAs, they blow up.

My car is German so it tells me when to do......and because I'm German too I obey lol


depends of how fast and how many miles I drive....slow and short distances result in less oil changes (I get that stuff for a bargain from my brother who works at BMW yay)
