Default Crankshaft Sensor problem?

Not sure if I'm posting in right section as I'm new to this site. Well here it goes anyway. I bought a 96 eclipse GS. It had a valve cover leak, so I replaced the gasket, replaced plugs and wires, and did the coil pack as well. The car was having a miss in cylinder 2. Car is running fine but still has hiccups here and there. It was way worse b4 the coil replacement. Now, the car twice has stalled and won't start right back up. It takes about 5 to 10 mins. It is getting fuel and spark, the battery and starter are brand new as well. I am thinking that the crank shaft sensor is going due to the leak of oil from the valve cover but wondering what else could be causing it before I dish out 70 bucks on the part and that may not be it or maybe I need to check something else. The throttle sensor maybe?
