Question bout rust in the subframe
Am trying to buy an s13 hatch but the only thing that is holding me back from getting the car is that has a little bit of rust in the subframe now since is not that bad could it be repairable or it isn't worth getting it
I would run, you see that much rot but I'm sure you can stick a screw driver through a lot more... plus the inside is obviously rusting... if you had a subframe I would say buy the car and swap it...
depends on how much they want for it.
the condition of the rest of the car.
and how fast you could find a s14 subframe and just swap them out.
plans for the car?
access to a welder for any further repairs?

Well the interior is immaculate full sr swap and the exterior looks pretty clean and they want 4k now if i was to replace the subframe from an s14 how much will it run me and how is it to replace
sounds like you have a lot of homework you need to do.
first 240sx I take it?
hit up the nissan tech section here.
do some googling.
get a better idea of what you are getting into.
4k isn't bad for a sr swapped s13, but that makes me wonder how well the swap was done. Have you driven it yet? like, really driven it. not just puttered around a parking lot.
Personally, I'm a cheap ass, so I'd talk the price down a lot.
With that kind of rust, I would bet that there is other parts of the chassis that is rusting too. So if that is the case, you basically need to look at buying this as if you are just buying a swap.
Might be better off to get a good deal on this, then hit up the nissan for sale thread, buy a new shell, swap all of the parts around and end up with a one good car.
