Firestone on Brandon Blvd
So over a week ago, I caught a flat tire thanks to some small peice of metal off the road. I take it to Firestone which is 2 seconds from my house, hoping they can patch the tire since its just a typical flat. I take it there, and they tell me they cant fix it and quickly jump to selling me a new tire, they tell me the cheapest they can put on my car is $150, since it needs to be a high rated tire for my "performance" BMW, the guys told me. (Which is a load of crap) I told them I didnt have that kinda money now, so just take the donut out and put it on, and I'll be on my way.
So the guy starts taking the donut out from under the car, but he didnt know how.. So he gets two more guys, and they are stomped, no biggie, I walk over and help get the donut out, since its my car, I know how to remove it, so I take it out, he mounts it on the car, puts some air in it, then I grab the flat tire and put it in the passenger side seat since it doesnt fit in the trunk.
As I get ready to get in my car and go, the mech. tells me I need to go to the office for paperwork. I got upfront and find out they want to charge me $16 for the "labor" they did on my car...
I was pretty mad and explained to the manager that I wasnt going to pay for the shop putting on my own donut, esp when I had to help put it on. So I sign some papers and go.
Next day I go to Goodyear near the mall, and guess what.. They could fix it, but I wanted to shop around for a cheaper price for a patch job. I go to Pepboys on Brandon Blvd, and thanks to a little special that was going on, I only paid $5.99 and got my tire fixed.
Its been two weeks and the tire is still holding air, no bumps, no vibs when driving. I know these patches dont last forever and arent the safest, but it will hold till I can get new tires.
Just wanted to let who ever cared, about how they do business at that Firestone.

I'll admit its tricky at first, but if you take a second and not just try and rush it and pull on it, and look, you can see that two bolts from inside the trunk let the donut free.
They looked like caveman trying to start a fire...
