ok well first i can't work on my car where i live unless i wanna get evicted now if someone wants to take a few ours of ur saturday and show me how to do it i'll pay for parts of course throw u some money and even buy some beer (if ur of age) i figured it was basic but i stopped doing basic shit on my car when i was 18 i just dont have the time. Shit i'll have to take off work just to have time on saturday for whoever to show me. So whoever is down for it hit me up with a shared_pm. There is no way in hell I would have paid them $100 for inspecting my car.
Another thing about those "free ac checks" is that to check the system, they have to pump it up with freon. One place tried to tell me $170 to fill it up! I hate mechanic shops...

^ doesn't matter. technically they still have labor time into it. and fine print gets you every time.
I went to one of them and got a estimate of $600-$650, I said fuck it and took the car home. Owner wanted to basically replace the whole system. My friends dad did it for less than $60 had to replace one hose on it.
