I beg to differ. And whats up with everyone and torque? Torque gets you off the line and its what you feel. HP makes you go fast.

WTF you need alot of HP for? Please explain? You trying to break land speeds? It only takes a good amount of HP to get down, but TRQ is always a must, drag, circuit, anything... c'mon....

I disagree. Look at cars that feel fast because they have more torque but would get walked like they are standing still with something half the torque but more HP. Its about what it does, not how it feels, which most people cant seem to understand. If I wanted torque I'd buy a diesel truck.

 

hp and torque are only a small part of the equation. i'm more interested in power to weight ratio and the ability to actually plant the power.

i've seen 250 horsepower RX-7's walk 600+ horsepower trailer queens.
