Motor cranks but does not turn over
I just finished changing my head gaskets and rebuilding the heads. The passenger side valve cover is leaking. I'm starting to think it's warped. I obviously changed the valve cover gaskets out, but we also used gasket sealer. It's still leaking. Would this cause the vehicle to not turn over?

It's pumping fuel through the lines, we found out the hard way. We checked the plug wires, and theyre fine. We never messed with the timing on the distributor, when we pulled the heads off, does this mess the timing up? The vehicle has plenty of power, we're jumping it off of a much larger vehicle. What else could it be?
oh jesus... please tell me you set the mechanical timing when you put the heads back on!!!

So you pulled the heads off but didn't mess with the timing? lol
Seriously though, you gotta set the timing back if you pull off the heads. Is the valve cover siting flush with the gasket?

Yes, it's sitting flush, I double checked that. We felt air leaking through, but it was just coming from the exhaust manifold.
In order to set the timing, do I need to pull the heads back off?
