Also, I just checked.. I'm not getting spark. The dizzy worked just before we started this project. The plugs and wires are new as well.

Honestly, I'm probably full of stupid questions but there are 9 spots for a wire to connect to on the dizzy. 8 for each cylinder and one in the middle. What wire goes in the middle? Here's a picture of one I found on google.

I bought new wires and it only came with enough for each cylinder. Where does the coil wire lead to from the dizzy?

You're absolutely right. It fired right up. I have a new problem now. The transmission casing seems to be leaking water. It's right behind the block, I cannot see very well back there, but the transmission is literally pissing water. I looked underneathe and there's a small hole in the bottom of the tranny. I'll fix that, but it seems like something else is leaking as well right above it.

my concern with replacing the heads was because i thought you had overhead cams..if you hadnt set the timing right with them, you could have bent some of your valves. My appologies for getting ya excited.

As for the water issue...is it actually water? like condensation from the AC? or is it some other fluid?
