I've seen the whole 'swap a B16 and price goes down' thing as well. Maybe it's just a CRX thing, but low milage stock CRX's sell for $4k+. There's been several sub-100k mile CRX's in mint condition that have sold for upwards of $8k in the last few years.
What I don't get is people selling a car that looks like crap with a decent engine and expecting alot, but at the same time don't value a car that looks decent, but is stock-ish high.
IMO, us Honda owners should embrace a higher value on our nice looking cars. It will only help us.
For realz.
I prefer the feel of my CRX's manual rack (then again it's a manual rack, not a looped of ps rack) to any power steering car I've driven. It's a much more direct feel, and apart from parallel parking, it's not the bad. But no AC, in Florida? Ha, your funny. It's a must if your gonna go somewhere and not be drenched in sweat.

But all in all who is really going to sacrifice losing a couple grand or hundred because of a thread or because there car is more market value then the retail value.
I mean I know I did it because I sold my EF hatch with AC/PS automatic for 1100. When people are selling no AC ones for 1700.

maybe some day those CRX's that are in great shape that someone paid.......8k for..........OMG. will actually worth it. but not in my life time. and embracing a higher price is a nice way of saying jack up the prices artificially so you can make profit off a car with nice paint and wheels with no stains in the seats...doesn't sound worth anywhere near 8k to me. no matter how perfect and original it is.

It's all your opinion. There are some people that will pay 8k for a crx, there are some people that won't. Get over it
