Default Need a shop or individual to change head gasket - Land Rover

I have a 1995 Land Rover Discovery 1. It's the 3.9 litre v8. I blew a head gasket and need both of them replaced. Does anyone know who might be willing to do it for a fair price?

Thanks in advance.

1,500 if you have the gasket, 2,300 if you need one.

Get under the hood and learn. It's pretty simple. Save yourself the money. A Saturday or Sunday should be enough time. I would go to the auto parts store and purchase a Haynes manual or just google a how to online.

"Hey, you might not know how to change your coolant, and probably don't own any tools, or MAYBE just maybe have something more productive to do with your time, but do it yourself".

If we were talking an air intake or exhaust, thats one thing, but this is a head gasket job, involving torque specs, timing belts/chains, et al. No shame in your game for taking this one to a pro.

is New Port Richey too far for you? If not, Ill talk to my friend who has a shop over there, sounds like something he'd do for a fair price.

True True. But if the quoted price up above is what it's going to take, Purchasing a Haynes manual or googling the info on how to do it would save a shit load of money.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

As for "nearly" everyone else.. I did not ask the price of a head gasket, 'nor expect questions from your end. I asked if anyone knew a shop or an individual that they would recommend. I have other things to do on my spare time, so I'm not going to get too involved with this truck. Anyways, it's most likely too indepth for me. B and D series are one thing, but a v8 with two heads, no thanks..

$2,300 is too much, I could buy a new motor and have someone swap it for less.

I'll PM you about the shop in New Port.
