Need a shop or individual to change head gasket - Land Rover
If you're going to DIY, send me a message I'll come over there and give ya a hand. Helped a friend the other day pulled the heads off a rover because he was parting the car out or something.

As far for resetting the timing and misc; I wouldn't know how to do that accuratley, but I do suggest since you're going to be in there to replace the misc seals, water pump, tensioners and fun misc because it will SUCK having to go back into there just to do one of those things you could've done/
But basically yeah, it ain't that bad.. now V12's....

Yes, it's just been sitting. I've been using my friend's truck to take the boat out, so I haven't had a use for it.
As for "nearly" everyone else.. I did not ask the price of a head gasket, 'nor expect questions from your end. I asked if anyone knew a shop or an individual that they would recommend. I have other things to do on my spare time, so I'm not going to get too involved with this truck. Anyways, it's most likely too indepth for me. B and D series are one thing, but a v8 with two heads, no thanks..
$2,300 is too much, I could buy a new motor and have someone swap it for less.
I'll PM you about the shop in New Port.

I posted the price of the head gaskets as someone was willing to charge you $1500 if you had the head gaskets or $2300 if you didnt...for a $150 set. Then you have smart comments for someone trying to help. Good luck with it.

The heads are just about pulled. There are a couple bolts connecting from the transmission to the head that are fairly difficult, we're going to work on it again in about an hour. The oil is burnt and quite crusty in the head. What would you guys recommend doing? I'm thinking all gaskets and seals, along with the water pump. Anything else?
