Default Land Rover Discovery - Is it worth it?

I recently purchased a 1995 Land Rover Discovery I with 130,xxx miles to tow my boat. However, the motor blew a head gasket and now I believe it has a cracked head. I took it into T & C Racing and was told the bottom end is making noise now too. They recommended swapping the motor out completely. The whole thing including labor is going to cost me $1,400. The new motor only has 35,000 original miles. I want to swap this motor and sell the SUV, since the boat is now for sale too. What do you guys think? Should I do the full swap or sell the vehicle as is?

Well, if I do the swap.. I could probably only get about $4500 out of the vehicle. If I don't do the swap, I might be able to get $2500 out of it. I know there's a $600 difference, but we're not factoring in the stupid things I may have to buy, or the haggling the potential buyer might do.
