SRT 4 or S2000
Don't listen to the SRT-4 naysayers. Half of those that bash 'em drive slower and even gayer Honda Civics. No denying that the performance per $ figure is in favor for SRT-4's.
Problem is most of them that haven't been totaled yet have been beat to shit by dumbass thugnecks. If you can find a good, clean, low mileage, adult driven SRT-4, no doubt it'd be a reliable and fast DD.
For the record the S2000 is also a cool car. Just get what you like.

I cant really say too much for s2000's but every srt 4 that I come across tries to get me to race and to me its still a neon, im gone neck and neck with an otherwise stock srt4 on my stock tune with my current mods so im not impressed that much with them. I've taken quite a few stock s2000's though but in my opinion the s2000 is a nice looking car and can be made fast with minimal mods providing you dont tear the diff up on stock equipment.

I notice all of the H/A owners in here favor the S2K... but most haven't even driven an SRT-4 yet they bash on it. I always love haters.
Anywho, I've had my SRT4 for about 3 yrs now and its been very reliable. Dynoed 372whp/387wtq, probably alittle more now that I added a few things. Its my daily driver.
I like S2K's... hardtop of course is how I would want one if I were to have one. But at the end of the day its a Honda which pretty much guarantees it will probably get stolen or broken into. Do you want to buy a car that on top you need to equip with (2) alarms and Lo-Jack
. Seriously, I wouldn't mind driving a Honda but then again I wouldn't want to always be worrying about will I see my Honda tomorrow when I wake up or will it still be out there in the parking lot when I get off of work.
OP its your choice, don't let it rest on the TR community making the decision for you. 80% of this community are H/A owners... so you will get an unjust favoring
But if your still unsure after reading these pages of posts. I'd say do what ozzy1 said to do. Go test drive both.

I don't own a honda...neither do 5-6 other people in this thread who suggested an s2k over an SRT

That or JDM spirit runs through you and others blood.
Its one thing to suggest another car since the OP is looking for "logical" answers but its another thing to bash on the other without having a clue.
Lets re-read the OP's post since some are jumping unto one wagon without even taking things into consideration.
hello. im currently saving up for a new ride in the summer. Im a big fan of the srt 4 but the s2000 are nice too but turbos are too expensive. i wanted to know which car would be better for DD/ drag strip. either a GT35r srt 4 or an s2000
is it worth paying at least 5k for a turbo kit for the s2k? or is an srt 4 a beast. im doubting it since its FWD and the s2k is RWD. Thanks

I've owned turbo cars, hondas and neons. The srt4 platform is a very good handling car. quite balanced.
But, would I buy one , or an s2k, I would probably go with an s2k and I've never driven one.. it would leave more room in the garage for my other projects / real cars.
Yeah, U MAD...
