I couldn't give two shits about him.
Just on the other forum I frequent, bullshit like that isn't allowed.
Make an example out of one, and they will all learn.

Or, build a beastly k-series motor(think of the money that could be put into instead of purchasing an evo).
I'm pretty ocd about my cars, so either way, ill come out with a good clean ride, that im going to be happy with.
Dont do a Honda. Please. Every kid on TR has a Honda. Just the likelyhood of theft alone should be another good reason not too. TR is a shopping site for import thieves.

Well, its just im more familiar with those than anything.
I have two friends that have 240's, and i like them, but i know absolutely nothing about them, or which motor would be better, or let alone where to get that motor.

Thats the problem with many Honda folks...they never have or do own anything else. So they dont know about anything else. 240s arent bad, go for one. Buy and learn something new.

the 93-95 rx7 (FD3S) is a good car. if you maintain them properly (oil changes ect.) and dont run synthetic oils you will be fine. check the oil frequently and dont let it over heat. other than that there is nothing wrong with them. people on here have more problems with their hondas. buy one that has a single turbo conversion allready. the sencondary turbos dont hold up too well, but the car will still run fine without the secondary turbo (ask rotary buddha, im pretty sure hes only running on one of his right now).

all three cars are fine, really. the evo is fun as fuck!
Troux actually has first hand experience with the FD's and I understand why he would give that piece of information to the op. He's definitely far from ignorant. The op isn't sure about what he wants. FD's are for people who are sure they want one and know what they are getting into. FD's can be reliable but you have to treat them like your firstborn, and some people just don't have the time for that.

If you have to post a poll to which car you should get, the FD is not for you. Stick with the Evo as you will have more fun, and less headaches.

While I love the look, FR layout, and handling ability of the FD RX-7, I'm just not a huge fan of rotaries. Revving really high is fun, and when taken care of, they can be reliable. It's just more work than most people put into a car, so when buying a used one, you have to be aware of that. As much as I can't stand GM stuff, an FD with an LS1 in it would be incredible. It would still take a significant investment to get the LS1 to the 600-700hp range though.

The easiest car to make those kind of power levels would be the EVO. The problem with buying a used EVO is that 90% of them have been really beat on. Finding one that has been completely built by a competant shop is probably the best route to go if you are serious about making crazy hp.

The S2000 is a great car, but for the money, it's just not that quick...and making it really quick is a huge investment.

The main question should be: "what do you want to do with the car?" All-out drag? Go with the EVO. A drift car? Go with the FD. But then again, with enough money, you could probably make either car into whatever you want it to be.

ahhh well i retract my last statment anyhoo. i did too much meth and i was raging, sorry.

he must have gotten a shitty deal, because most of the fd owners i have talked to only had secondary turbo issues. I, for one, have never had any really bad issues with the 6 rotaries i have owned that could not be fixed. the fc on the other hand, had some rediculous electrical gremlins.
