Default making a leather hood bra.

im trying to figure out how to do this on my own. i have the same model jetta as this, and the bra is obviously a custom job. im just wondering how i could figure out how to stitch one up myself. if anyone has any pointers or a general guide as to how i could make it fit the curve of the hood correctly, it would be of great help.

I would honestly buy one, they are made to withstand water and heat, and direct sunlight. The sun will shrink and dry it out.

They make materials like that if he really wanted to do it.
How much do those cost?

Just use your hood as a template and cut it out? Wrap it around to the inside of the hood like a condom and if you have a stock under hood plastic covers secure it there or figure something out.

Why not buy one for your vehicle. Then purchase materials and just copy over exsisting one. That way you can have a custom bra with the same diamentions as an actual one made for your car.

Just buy one, way easier and cost friendly in the long run.

problem is, the oem ones. or even aftermarket leather bras are very rare for this model since 3m bras are becoming cheaper and readily available everywear. plus, id much rather have a dark grey leather. the only time this bra will be on the car is when i take a road trip to a major show. so drying out shouldnt be an issue.
