they were also going to replace the porsche 911 with the front engine/ugly/slow/poor handling porsche 928 which died out in the same era. lots of retarded ideas that almost happened in the 80's

The redesign is like every 5-6 years, this one is only like 3 years into the phase I think.

I'm really liking it though. I'm going to be seriously considering one after about another year or so, maybe mid 2011 as a 2012 model. Probably could throw on some nicer wheels, and a cold air intake, and be done with it, depending how the exhaust sounds in stock form.

not to get off topic here..... Mark I agree with almost 100% of what you post... but come on... The 928 was far from slow nor did it handle crappy (now the 944 thats a diffrent story)..

They actually could beat a 911 around a track and where much easier to handle. If you ever get the chance to drive one you would understand and respect the car...

They need a redesign sooner. IMO they still look like ass. Notice I said in my opinion people.
