Default Do not trust this HID kit

I am not sure if this is even in the correct section, so if not, mods feel free to move.

About a year ago I purchased an HID conversion kit from a company called
V V M E (simply google their name to see their website). About 3 months ago one of my ballasts blew. An HID kit should be able to last longer than one year. I understand its a cheaper conversion kit than most offered and you might say that "you get what you pay for." The kit however is still sold with a one year warranty. I contacted the company with the dilemma of a blown ballast and instead of refunding me or shipping me a new ballast, they told me that it would take too long for me to send them my broken ballast and them send me a new one. So they told me to pay an additional $20 to receive a new ballast. That is a discounted price and I was more interested in receiving the ballast as quickly as possible so I went ahead and did as they said.

Now another ballast has blown. In one year, both ballast have now blown and I am very pissed. I have not only given this company my money for a shotty product, but I paid them again for a replacement part of the same poor quality.

I am spreading the word to discourage any potential customers who have seen this product or looked into this company from purchasing their products. They have shitty quality products and poor customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM V V M E!!!

I have contacted them and am trying to work out something where I can receive some kind of reimbursement or refund. I will let you guys know how things come along. thanks

-Phil

Most people do not understand how HID's work and the importance of proper handling and install. Sucks to hear, but it does sound like they were not installed properly...

Yea had the same problem with another brand.. They said the same thing 20.00 for the ballast..

But the ballast blowing was my fault.. I had the Ballast mounted where water followed the wire right into the box.. And blam...

If they are cheap.. buy another set..

yep, sometimes they dont have so much professional knowledge about how the HID works and how to install the hid kit correctly....

check your wire and ballast before cursing the seller....

or at lest figure out the hid troubleshooting guide if you are not professional at hid......

I was charged twice by this company for the a kit I bought and never got my money back after I filed a complaint, somehow I ended up buying 2 more kits after that from the same company and never had a problem with quality.
