hey man i got a 96 Z too and i am looking to get maybe a bike or a supra next. i like the suzukis especially the busa and the gsxs are cool too. but i gotta start low tho cuz i have never rode a bike like these b4 except for my old ass bmx bike!!!

 

I personally like the Buell Lightning S3T. You can usually find them relativly cheap in the used market. I was looking at a Suzuki for a starter bike but my friend gave me his old 77 Honda CT125 Enduro to go kill myself on in his back yard.
