Power shift, without the clutch at all. That's how the pro's do it.

Put a new clutch in and hit sunshine and BMP. Just like with sex, practice, practice, practice and one day you will be a gym class hero!

a good driver can use the car to the fullest of it's potential, putting the car on safely at the limit.

as far as straight line there are a few 'drag racing' schools i've heard of but typically just going to tnt's does the trick.

road courses on the other hand instructors and driving classes can make the world of difference in finding the limit of your car and learning to maintain control at that limit

yes a driver can make a world of difference....

my best friend has a turbo fox body mustang and consistenly runs low 12's i was able to take his car and made no changes to the setup other then me driving instead of him and i was able to pull consistent 11.2's on the last 4 runs i did. I will admit that the 1st two runs i was in the 13's because i had never driven the car at the track before. Im not saying im the best i know many drivers that are better then me, but a driver mod can make a HUGE difference.

he either shifts too early or shifts too late and he shifts slower then me causing his times to reflect. He doesnt have much experience driving boosted cars at the track. He is better now and is close to the times i got but still hasnt quite hit those numbers.

shifting late you dont make any more power right and you should be in the next gear making power
