^ I would have loved to see that too, but a poor tire strategy thwarted that.
Over all the race was OK. Piquet finally ran well, but he started so far back it wasn't really mentioned. BMW struggled BAD. Kimi finally showed up. Hamilton ran well but just didn't have the pace of the leaders.

Well it was another win for Button and Brawn GP. Can't say I didn't see this as being likely, even with Toyota qualifying for the front row. It was a good race though and it's nice to see both these teams competitive after so many years of struggling. Bravo to red bull too.

I enjoyed the race, thought it was pretty good, only one car dropping out and no full course cautions. I just wish Kimi had made it to the podium so we could hear him in the press conf afterward.

Well, McLaren came away with NO further penalty from their hearing, but the FIA did seem to come to an agreement to limit spending starting as early as 2010. There are lots of speculations so far, but the official announcement should be Thursday.
And of course NOW BMW is complaining about how they have Vettel's rights from 2011 on etc...they should be worrying about why there car is so slow instead....Ayrton Senna could be driving the BMW and it would only finish a few places higher than it did last week.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

40 million budget cap, NO refueling during a pit stop and NO tire warmers starting NEXT year.....They will also expand teh field to 26 cars or 13 teams!

Teams can continue to run unlimited budgets but will be subject to current technical & testing restrictions.
And it's £40M, which is about US$60M. Chump change!
