Peace out s2k!
Seems fitting, no real power increase over the 10 year production. They made small changes over the years, but most people can't tell an AP1 from an AP2 believe it or not. Instead of having an overhaul on it, seeing as sales are way down from the low volume they were at to begin with, they axed it. It was never truly "mass production" (in the sense of the Sky/Solstice) anyways and imho a true enthusiast's car.

I think the S2K had a pretty good run. Not many cars can go 9 years with the same chassis and hardly any exterior and interior modification.
Hopefully they do replace it with something equal in performance.

Doubt it. It took them what 30 years to replace the older S roadster from the 60-70's with the S2000.
Its true that with a price tag in excess of 40K, and really not enough guts, people were spending a bit more cash on a vette or a boxter instead. If Honda wanted to really stage a drop-top that could sell, they should target the Miata demographic. Make a RWD, turbo 4 with a price point less than the Miata or a Redline Sky/Solstice GXP.
Market it towards a younger crowd and I think they'd have something there.
