Peace out s2k!
Hey, props to Honda for at least keeping it RWD. Mitsubishi has only made one sporty RWD since the 70s. The 70s! Good thing the Evo is so damn good.

first they stopped making the rsx, they then stop the NSX from going into production and now they stop making the s2k.
honda is about to have as many fun cars as toyota.

Sales over 10 years are about the same as 1-2 years of mustang or 3-5 of an eclipse. Can't blame them for having to get rid of it in times like this.
I never really cared for them but at least it was a sports car. Kind of hate to see it go as more from every brand will follow.

Man, that sucks. I was never a huge S2000 nut swinger, but I liked the car.
There is a bigger story here though;
This is the beginning of the end people. Many of you are too young to remember the late 70's/early 80's. But history is repeating itself.
We were just in the midst of a new horsepower war. A new resurgance in sporting cars.
But now, it seems like the end of that era is upon us. Be ready for a long run of boring econo-boxes. Because that's what car makers will think that we all want.
I'm afraid the "sportscar" is heading for another long term hiatus, as people get their panties in a bunch about gas prices and are whinning for more practical transport.
