I am in no way a GTR "fanboi".
That being said, comparing a top of the line model Viper to a base model GTR is like comparing a midget to a giant in a size competition (that was really bad). I love vipers, I have driven one and it was an absolute blast, but you just have to look at it from a price and model stand point. Awesome, they beat the GTR...but now they have to hope that the top of the line model of the GTR doesn't beat them.

there was an article last month with the v spec only running 1-2 secs faster than the normal gt-r, at twice the price!

It's been rumored there is a 70hp Mopar package developed but nobody has gotten it from what I've heard. Doesn't matter, it's just bolt-ons that the aftermarket will be building anyway, if they haven't already.

Sport Cups stock? I guess if they can sell the Euro M3 CSL on Cups and the Elise on Advan A-048's, then why not. There was just an article on the specially formulated Pilot Sport PS2's that the ZR1 wears.

I read today in corvette magazine the treadware on the tires is 220 so I dont think that classifies them as R compound tires. Put some sticky tires on it, and I see it doing the ring under 7:20! Imagine once people start modding these cars...
