ATTN: Joe Dono AKA SCP_Celica SCAMMER
+1 the SCP celica that was in here was just a fake
This situation in unfortunate. However, paypal donations are pretty pathetic.
Charity has a place and this situation isn't it. It's not as though someone needs a live-saving operation. You don't see GM or Ford asking for paypal handouts because they were shortsighted and produced too many large vehicles that won't sell now because of gas prices.
As someone has already said, what happens to all the paypal donations if the shop gets all their money back? Do they deserve to get all the money from the work AND the money collected from donations? Are they going to return the donations if they do get paid for the work? Color me pessimistic, but I doubt it.
Finally, I've already seen some of the responses to people questioning the donations. The hostility was childish. Turn 19, get a job, drive something other than a clapped out 20 year old rice bucket and I might care what you think.

Just to keep you people moaning about paypal donations happy, I'll recap.
1. They did not ask for donations in any way.
2. Lots of people offered to donate, and had JAPworks set up a paypal account.
3. The people that are donating are doing it on their own free will.
4. The shop said they WILL give any excess to a charity.
5. You're just jealous you aren't getting it.
Too many people coming in dropping their depression bombs everywhere. No one has been asked to donate, or told to donate by the guys in the hot seat.
Are they going to turn the money down that they're obviously in need of? No. I wouldn't turn it down either, most people wouldn't.
That said, Joe is screwed. He's probably going to be going to jail for Theft of Services, his mom will more than likely lose the car, and his family will be put into a pretty bad financial burden of having to pay for a car that they don't own. I feel bad for his family because he's causing it, but he's the same age I am, and if I was trying to pull this crap my parents would have me beaten down so bad...

You're right, they don't ask for paypal donations, they just ask the government to help bail them out.
So instead of people being able to VOLUNTARIALY contribute to help a buisness out, everyone gets to help pay for a business bailout because the money the government spends has to come from somewhere.
