I donated (like most others) at our own will. I decided to donate and offer my vinyl services to help them get through a rough time. If there's extra left over, they can do whatever they want with it. This is not the first time I have donated to what I feel is a good cause, nor would it be the last time. There's no need for any negative comments about the donations. What I choose to do with my hard earn money is my decision.

I simply stated that he was right, GM and Ford aren't asking for voluntary donations from the public, they are asking the government to help bail them out.

And when the government bails out a private business, every gets to help pay for it whether thye want to or not

Charity has a place and this situation isn't it. It's not as though someone needs a live-saving operation. You don't see GM or Ford asking for paypal handouts because they were shortsighted and produced too many large vehicles that won't sell now because of gas prices.

As someone has already said, what happens to all the paypal donations if the shop gets all their money back? Do they deserve to get all the money from the work AND the money collected from donations? Are they going to return the donations if they do get paid for the work? Color me pessimistic, but I doubt it.

Finally, I've already seen some of the responses to people questioning the donations. The hostility was childish. Turn 19, get a job, drive something other than a clapped out 20 year old rice bucket and I might care what you think.
It's a free country, you don't have to donate. It's my right to donate so don't call me pathetic. Second of all, if we were only 19 with no jobs, do you think we would be donating, $50, $60, even $250??? I think not. Do they just let anyone graduate from FSU?

I will admit I didn't actually donate to Japworks. But the money I invested in Joe Dono - Internationally known scammer has been enough. 6 thousand unique hits on my site and it has grown tremedously throughout the internet.

They did ask for help, by way of Congress, they're not a private business, they're publicly traded, a cost benefit analysis probably revealed that the number of people who would need welfare benefits and other govt. assistance if the entire company went out of business would outweigh the cost to provide the company with assistance, so on and so forth.

Unfortunately I don't think JAPworks has that kind of rep in the US Congress, but you never know, find a senator who got ripped off on an '04 Celica at some point and maybe he'll take up the cause.

They did ask for a government bailout though... But that's a different story

And the government did bail out Chrysler, so why do you bitch when people want to help someone out? And do it under their own volition, instead you tax dollars paid for the Chrysler bail out.

Edit*** Looks like someone beat me to it.

Wait, It's Friday! Mark My Words, I'm excited to hear what happens!

So it doesn't look like I'll break even on the site with adwords, so I'm going to send 50% of whatever I receive through the paypal donate link as soon as the deposit hits my account! it looks like they pay out monthly or at the end of the following month.. So keep clicking on www.japworks.com it's free money for the cause!
