A lot of people dont realize that gto's , corvette , and even z06 get good gas mileafe for what they are. The zo6 is the only 500hp+ car in the us exempt from the gas guzzler taz because it gets 24mpg on the highway. Your average new civic si gets 22 city 29 highway...

24mpg is not good gas mileage in my view. 34 MPG?.. thats not bad.

and you said it right, for what they are.

those EPA numbers quoted are ONLy if you dont use the 500 HP available.. the moment you dip the throttle into fun territory, your 24 MPG on the highway corvette is in single digits.

any performance car is like that... The point is having the hp too have fun when you want too, then when your cruisin pop it in 6th gear and cruise around at 25 mpg. It doens't really matter anyways you dont buy 400 hp cars for gas mileage.

The EV STi will even have a speaker under the hood to make the signature one-cylinder-down sound just so you still feel like you're still driving a Subaru

Electric cars are only as clean as the way their power is generated. More often than not, electric cars pollute far more because the electricity for them is made from burning coal; not to mention the battery production.

Anyways, I'm disappointed but not surprised. Besides, would you rather have a shit Z28 with a cute little 4 banger? Fortunately, with the way everyone is going nowadays, it'd likely be a DI/turbo one with just as much power anyways.

Obviously not a car guy if he doesn't want to see another 500+ muscle car on the road. btw....I saw a 24mpg average all the way from lakeland to panama city going the back way(not just the interstate) in my A4 z28 camaro. The 6spd's get even better mpgs as others have already stated.

I dont know if my A4 ever got it that good. And it was even worse in the city with my 3600 stall. I sold it and got an M3. The instant MPG tells me 32 highway, and its impresively fast.
