aight peps from wat im hearing this car is returning to the streets. all the original stuff cause before when they shut down the had an entire warehouse full of the car parts.. now from wat i read there making like close to 1,000 or something. hand made all sold in america except for one which will be sold over seas. its post to come with more hp and just overall redone but will still look the same. haha man hope somebody doesnt decide to remake back to the future....my bad 200 cars will be made. here the web site info i foundThe DeLorean, the car from Back to the Future with the gull wing doors and gleaming stainless steel finish, has come back to the future, going into extremely limited production thanks to a group of greasemonkeys in Houston who like to refurbish cars. They have about 200 of the original DeLorean 2.8 L V-6 engines on hand, and will start making the cars from scratch next year. There's no exact price attached to the exclusive cars, which will be built at a rate of around 20 cars per year. The last time a DeLorean was rolled off the assembly line was 1982, when the last model was built in DeLorean's Northern Ireland plant.
This new car company, which actually acquired rights to the name DeLorean Motor Company, didn't mention a specific price, but it's currently selling its refurbished DeLoreans for $42,500.

It's too bad they're using those original PVR V6's, they were peices of shit, I had the same engine in my 81 Volvo Bertone coupe.
Also, it's not just a finish on the cars, it's actual stainless steel they made the bodies out of.

I read about this a while ago, they are going to custom build each one as the are ordered, so a more powerful engine is a $10,000 option.... It's cool, but who the heck would want to spend $50,000 on a DeLorean!

Weak motor on a super heavy car = diaster. Stainless steel in an accident with todays cars is going to be ugly. I can just picture one of those running into a plastic saturn.
