The worst part is that he took his friends out with him, but they knew they were taking a risk when they got in the car. I'm sure we've all been guilty of driving fast with a passenger- what's the point of having a fast car if you can't do a quick pull to show off to a friend? But don't pull a really stupid stunt like this with 4 passengers packed into the car.

He had it in M S6 P500 AK47 Type-R F1 mode from what I can tell from his posts. Seriously, if you look at one of his posts he lists out a string of settings I can only assume was max-power, stability-off, trac-off, and any other computer driving aid you could turn off because theoretically an F1 driver could go .1 faster without it. Just look in the now infamous thread where he complained about "a loud thud when shifting up at 140 MPH at WOT". Not that any computer could do anything about the physics of 150 MPH with about 200 feet of visibility from his headlights. Lewis Hamilton couldn't have stopped that car from flying over that berm in those conditions.

P500 = 500 HP mode then.

Also, The Stig couldve. He shouldve tried to be more like The Stig.

Oh wait, he did try, and he failed miraculously. Awesome.

The car was registered to his dad, so I was probably wrong...it is possible for an 18 yr old to have that kind of money though. It really doesn't matter anyways IMO.

Possible for an 18 yr old to earn enough money on his/her own to buy, and insure an M5, yes. Probable? Not at all.

well, then I settle my case on I don't know why parents let their inexperienced kids (extremely young adults) drive fast cars. Its just asking for trouble and I do feel for them.

Remember the one last year in Cali, where a girl got her dads hand-me down 993 carrera. she wrecked it doing 160 and they literally scraped her brains off of the toll booth plaza.
The pictures were horrible.

Actually she got in an argument with her parents - stole the keys to the 996 Carrera and impaled herself on the tool booth plaza.

3:35 am - who's to know - maybe he took the M5 while his parents were sleeping unknown to them.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
