Default 2008 BMW M5 +18yr old driver = 5 dead.

This is a sad, sad story. I hope all the new drivers thinking of high performance cars for their first cars stop and think. This used to be a 2008 BMW M5

Short story, 18yr old showing off his car on a private runway (1.5 mile) Makes a mistake sending the car 200 ft thru the air and into a tree. There are no second chances when you make mistakes at 150 mph (they still don't know how fast the car was going) Here's the full story.

FHP: Alcohol likely involved in crash that killed 5 young men

I feel very sorry for everyone involved.

Runways have signs marking how many feet of the runway remain...I feel sorry for his friends, and for the remains of the M, and for the owner of the property the tree was on, but the driver removed himself from the gene pool, which is a plus in the long run.

Dude thats kinda harsh, who gives a flying suck about a tree or property .Ppl lost they lives hear and u saying that kinda stuff ,way harsh man .

My prayers go out to the family in this case .Stupid mistake ,but they all knew what they where doing .If ur going to play with ur car that fast ,atleast be somewhere safe doing it .With enough knowledge and experiance to know how to handle ur car .

agree with ^ 100%
I feel bad for families and passengers, but driver was the one being stupid enough to drive off a runway. Everyone else paid for his mistake

There is more to the story.

The kid was bragging about it being his car on the m5 board, and was asking how he could go faster and that he does it out on an airstrip. People posted for him to stop and be careful, and he wrote that he is a responsible driver that races late at night and will not endanger anyone elses life.

4 hours later, he and 4 of his friends were dead.

Turns out it wasnt his car anyway.

I cant remember how many times Ive read that same statement on this site alone.
