damn. well that sucks the tranny went but if it JUST went out at 201k that's impressive... and what the hell is the point of that overdrive off button??? what's the reason to turn overdrive off.. when i first got the car i used to always press the button to turn it off, but then someone told me i'll deff mess up the tranny doing that so i stopped messing with it

probably for a mountainous area to keep it from upshifting and downshifting a lot.

its for driving in the city, you turn it off to stop the tranny from upshifting and downshifting thru traffic.

i never really turn it off though... on other crown victoria forum sites they tell me not to even mess with it just LEAVE THAT SHIT ALONE unless i want to be replacing the tranny..

and on another note i got the exhaust done today.. no h pipe straight from the manifolds to 40 series flowmastesr then pipe to some nice ass magnaflow chrome tips an it sounds NICE AS HELLL, SEEMS LIKE IT"S REALLY LOUD and the owner of the place said 2 me to give it 3 weeks and it'll sound even better i gotto let the carbon build up.. I hate to say it but wheni went by people at the mall today i hit the gas a little and got a kick out of them turning around , listening to that v8 growl is music to my ears but i know it 'll probably get old soon and annoying lol..
