changing from auto to manual
yeah their pretty common on the 4wd drive, but only sold in moutianus, and snow areas. [read: not florida]
IMO you prolly better off finding a manual base instead of converting.
a sr5 4runner would be a sweet set up

honda automatic tranny's dont hold power for shit, they are very weak. i've never seen a high horsepower honda with an automatic. i converted my accord from auto to standard when i put in the H22 motor. i do agree that you should just buy a standard and sell the auto, because doing this conversion sucked, and will end up costing more money than just getting a new car, unless you have the hookup on parts.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.
Well they actually came with S engines, so I dont see why an MR2 or Celica transmission with a (3S or 5S) engine wouldnt work...even a Camry tranny should. Normally, being the resident Toyota fool, I'd say "oh just look for W120" but I honestly dont know what transmission it uses because I dont like anything wrong wheel drive and I tend to stay away from transverse engines.
If its not a T50, R154, W58, V160, or A340E, I wouldnt know

i actualy met a guy at a teg meet in orlando. he is on here but i don't remember his name. he has a dc teg, turbo with an automatic. Before that he was spraying, i think he said 100 shot with no problems. now he is boosted and still hasnt had a problem. now im not saying they are strong by any means, its just the fist honda i have seen with decent power and auto. i thought it was pretty cool.
