+1 here, or atleast if your going to do it in do it in some business area (out of business hours) or something away from houses, your best bet is in the back of buildings you can act dumb there all night long and cops almost never go there (in clearwater anyhow).

Not my fault if you get a ticket for lotering or whatever they call it which is being in company property after hours... just be smart and go to a course thats why they are there.

ok.. im not going to read this crap, but YES you can get a ticket for highway infractions in a parking lot because:

a) there is no gate
b) here is a public entrance onto a road

that makes the parking lot NOT private property, but rather a public trroughfair.

trust me, i know. i got hit by this a fe wyrs back.

now.. if there was a gate blocking the entrances off, and you cut the chain, went in and relocked it, then you can onyl get hit for tresspassing.

BUt since you can easily go in and out of the parking lot and into a street, you are on a public road. AND drifting is being classed under racing bc to the cops, its still a competition and is still dangerous.

i know all this bc we sat and shot the shit with the cops for an hour on how to get around all the law crap.

i got that ticket on sunday night with a bunch of my friends. but i was in my dads altima driving in circles at liek 5-10 miles an hours yelling out the window like i was drifting. and i got a racing in parking lot ticket 2. is that illegal?lol

 

take it to court with or without a lawyer. i have a friend that has gotten all but 1 of his tickets thrown out because 1) either the officer didn't show up 2) the ticket was not filled out correctly, therefore invalid 3) it is how the law is interpreted, so racing on highway should be thrown out because there was no other car involved and you were in a parking lot not highway. my friend was a TPD Explorer growing up and learned every little thing he could including the loop holes in traffic court. thats my 2 cents

 

The cop can only give you a ticket if the parking you're racing around in like a jackoff has purple neons on and there are square concrete lightposts. Not cylindrical, only square.
