Racing On Highway false ticket! Help!
I recieved a RACING ON HIGHWAY ticket when i was in a wide open parking lot doing some drifting, and i was alone? That doesnt seem to be right?? Is there any way I can fight this without getting a lawyer??? for it to be racing there has to be another vehicle? what should i do?

I didnt think so either. I used to tell cops "fuck off its private property" when they told me I couldnt ride my go-ped in the mall parking lot when I was fourteen.

Racing has to do with a high rate of speed and does not neccesarily mean against someone. Drifting is a type of car racing and thats what you were doing. Next time you are gonna drift go to a closed course, because if you are like the kids that drift at the school by my house I would shoot you if it was legal. People dont really like hearing squealing tires while they are trying to relax. Just my .02

Yes, the ticket was a valid street racing ticket. As stated above, you don't have to be with another car, even.
And, I'm not sure. Normally you can't get a ticket in a private parking lot, HOWEVER street racing is a misdemeanor, and hence a crime. So the officer saw a crime being committed, not just a traffic infraction.

you could have been racing the clock, the clock is not another vehicle, so yeah you can get a racing ticket by yourself.
