why is it for the past 2 weeks we get run out of sonics for being responsible car owners. by responsible, i mean we meet at a restaurant, not on the bridge, or a side street or back road, we meet at a well lit, safe place. we all park and yes we walk around and look at cars and talk about cars, but guess what else we are doing? we are buying food and drinks from sonics all night. now granted, you wanna be an asshole and park your car in a handicapped spot so you can be in front, or you wanna rev your motor and pop your exhaust, or whatever other idiot thing to draw attention to yourself, then by all means, kick them out. why treat the responsible owners who gather and support a business with our pantronage by running us off from our safe alternative. isnt that what the auth want any way? wtf? did they decide that instead of meeting somewhere safe, we should be out on those back roads? make up your minds please.

btw, if i was the owner of that sonics, and some officer ran off my clientel, i'd be PISSED. i myself stay there for at least 4 hrs. in that time frame, i buy 2 meals for me and my g/f, and prob 2 or 3 more drinks throughout the night since it is hot as hell. so, if the owner of that sonics is reading this, imagine how much money you lost tonight due to that officer running your customers away at 10 pm.

 

Are you saying that you, as a paying customer, while eating food from Sonic, were kicked out? Did you have food and drink in your hands or on a table or something in front of you, or were you at least just finished, not having thrown your trash out yet?

Or were you sitting around bullshitting, probably in the parking lot that isn't actually around Sonics?

 

i live right next to the sonics that hes talking about, and its their parking lot.

 

Next time you show up there go talk to the manager yourself. Everyone there has permission to be there, as long as theyre not being jackasses. Ive seen that manager give a piece of his mind to a LEO or two for doing what youre talking about.

 

My wife and I had drinks in our hands that we weren't finished with. Ended up taking it with me in the car. The problem is their was some kid's who decided to park in the handicap spots.

There's a undercover cop that sits in the gas station next to Sonics and watches all of us. It's been like that everytime for the longest. Well now there's this cop that shows up and just starts kicking everyone out... even those with food and drinks in their hand. I personally think the guy is a jerk. You rather have all these cars on the running up and down the road instead of us just be in a safe environment eating/drinking and just hanging out.

I was clearly standing there sipping on my drink when he told us we need to leave.

We were all parked in Sonics, not outside of Sonics parking lot.

 

Sounds like a plan. Yeah we got kicked out at 9:58pm... what a joke.

We'll see about talking to the manager.

What I'm going to do next time when I see his undercover car pull up I'm going to order something.

 

get used to it. They used to do the same thing when it first opened. We would ALL be eating Sonics food and the cops would walk up and tell all of us to leave. We all told them we were eating and he said that he didnt care and to throw it away and leave.

That was probably about 3+ years ago so dont expect it to change. Its a known street racer hangout and theyll bring the pressure.

 

I wish the cops would come tell me to leave when I am eating... I would take that guys badge number and call his boss they can not tell you to leave unless the owner is telling them he/she does not want you there... but if you are sitting there eating they should say anything to you...

Exactly. We are human just like anyone else. That's what made me mad lastnight. People were sitting and eating and they also got kicked out. It's messed up. No one seriously no one was doing anything stupid, how can we there's the undercover at the gas station only a few feet away watching everyone.

Seriously cops will roll through Sonics and not do anything just seeing what were doing. Then there's this one that seems like he has an agenda and kicked us out last week and now again this week. Everytime people are either eating or drinking.

Wonder how the manager would feel if we all migrate somewhere else and he loses are huge portions in sales that evening of every Saturday.

I just find it stupid when were not doing anything wrong and we are actually buying food and drinks from Sonics. It's not like none of us are buying anything.

 

You are hanging out in a known street racing "scene" where there are deaths and you are driving fast cars. Its all going to be "controlled" so get used to it or go bitch to the city. Now, if everyone was in a minivan, they probably wont even say anything. They arent exactly stupid and know why everyone is there. Its not because people actually like that Sonic's food...
