Oh i no its all way over the top but thats what i want, i wan't the car to be way over powerd! I bought a soarer a couple of months ago in very good condition for £1200 with a 1jz so there really not pricey over here. I don't think there gay at all, ive had 4 of them! Yeah i spose you maybe right that its just that i want it cos its 'trendy' i don't know of one in the uk! Also the greddy kit comes with a t25 which is a waste of money if you wan't big power. Im not afraid of a little work.

Maybe in an autocross, but on the road, I have that minus the header but plus the 8.3 lb flywheel and it still is slow.....its sad..

Really just the aluminum block huh? You never compared cranks? Heads? Ignition? Stock bottom end potential?

You think wrong. That came out of your ass! Go ahead try and argue with me and I will elaborate and really make you look like a douche. Stop misinforming people on what you don't know!

Are you talking about an SR timing BELT? and which valves are open? please elaborate your interpretation of SR TDC.

PS: The thread starter wanted engine mounts not your stank assumption of the motor. I know the real reason why you hate on SR's, slow poke.

I'm sure the SR is perfectly adequate when it comes to that stuff. I honestly dont give a shit. Point is, it will always be cheaper to use the engine thats already in the damn car than swapping over some alleged Nissan godsend. I havent done extensive research on the B61P like I have the 7M-GTE, so I wont pretend to know how good the heads or bottom end potential are, but fact is the ignition is wasted spark which kicks ass (can have the damn thing run 180* off, ask me how I know) and the engine was built for forced induction as well...and as I said before I've seen a Miata with new stock internals put down 300 at the wheels. Miatas are different from other platforms; 300 is perfectly adequate on one, as opposed to always needing more power on bigger chassis'.

As far as there not being a BP1.6...the engine code for my 1.6L is B61P, usually just refered to as B6P. You can argue with someone else whether or not it is a "BP" per se

Okay, then how much exactly was spent on putting the SR20 in an NA35? What sort of mounts, transmission, oil pan, crossmember, etc. did you have to use? Please do elaborate on how much more it cost you guys to do the swap than it was to use the stock engine.

Interesting on how you mentioned nothing of the SR's superior valvetrain Anyways I'm just saying, I dare you to crank over an SR with the valves all the way open and timing (belt? chain?) off. I've done it with my car, you next.

The real reason I hate SR20s is because people underestimate the KA24 and think the SR is some sort of godsend. To me, its nothing special..I dont see it doing anything something else has already done, and often, better. Are you trying to imply that I've lost to an SR20? Because I never have. I've never raced my Miata in any sort of race and my Supra has only raced a debadged Lancer.

Regardless I'm not someone who's about to try to get all sorts of power out of a 4 banger, regardless of boost. You can only run so much boost on street gas, and even if you use meth, what happens when the system spontaneously fails or you run out? Medium displacement I6 ftw.
