I had a thread a while ago about gettin pulled over going 30+ the speed limit, but I think it was deleted when we got hacked. THIS IS NOT A WHAT DO I DO THREAD.

I need to know what the penalties are normally with this kind of ticket. I have a mandatory court date that I haven't received yet (I got the ticket on January 27,2007 and still haven't received information on a court date.) but I need to know what kind of penalties I'm looking at from this ticket. I am getting a lawyer but I don't plan on walking away with no punishment.



and before you say it, yes I searched and since the majority talk about street racing, I couldnt find what I was looking for.

 

Are you planning to mount a defense or not? the strategy you use will differ greatly. Ive have one 30+ and three 15+ in the past two years and I still have my license so rest easy its not a big deal.

TR got hacked one night and aharon had to reset the site a few weeks back from where it was.

got a 30++ ticket in dec. so did my friend (chick friend). i got a lawyer and faught it, i had to do the 12 hour drivers course to get no points on my license which cost ($75 in class and $100 online) and i had to pay the stupid 307$ ticket... my friend who had no lawyer went to the judge got 40 hours of community service and has to take the 12 hour drivers course... no fines. im lazy so im glad i had to pay i rather pay than work for free.. but if u gots a dick their going to look at u differently. i also never went to court we settled a deal with the judge. but the judge was cool he was the south pinellas court house...

 

you are really starting to piss me off.


f2b, I'd be fine with paying as long as no points go on my license. I really, really don't want to have to worry about losing my license if I get another speeding ticket. Thanks for the information though.

Ok, I got a 126 ina 55 Ticket (71 over) and I got Traffic school + $340 fine. Since I went to traffic school the ticket did NOT stick on my record, and my insurance didnt go up.

and yes it does help. seems the general consensus with a lawyer is 12 hour school and $300 ticket. any idea what my ticket will look like for a 60 in a 30?
