the judge can do anything he wants with your ticket from increasing the fine to dismissing it entirely. They can also order you to driving school even if you have been 5 times already.

Just put on some nice clothes, tell the judge you respect the speed limit and had a lapse in judgment, and request the judge withhold adjudication and you will take driving school and pay the fine.

Saves your $$ on the lawyer.

This is the thing that bothers me the most though. I received the ticket on Jan 27,2007 and have yet to receive a court date for it. Since it's mandatory, I know something will come, but the 2 times I've call the courthouse, they said that there hasn't been one set yet and that it should come within 4-6 weeks of the ticket. Well it's been 2 months or 8 weeks.

I get all my legal questions answered over the phone for free,
and all my tickets defended free..................not totally free, I pay $16/month for the legal insurance.......a bargain if I only get one ticket this year.

It might be worth signing up for a month just to get some quality answers to your questions before you go to court.

i got a racint ticket, took 3 months for the court date.
since you have a lawyer you will be fine.
Dont worrie about losing your license you will get a traffic class and have a fine at the most!

I am perfectly fine with them holding off on sending it. I don't have the money currently due to insurance being due at the same time as the tickets and the second ticket i got on the same night. (Don't ask)

So the longer they push the court date back, the better, but the day i get some notice that there is a warrant out for my arrest is the day i bitch because i called the Pasco Courts (twice) and they told me it will arrive 4-6 weeks after the ticket.
