Haha wow like those awards can't be bought. I'm sure theres a underground deal going there. Like that one commercial about motor having the open wheel test drive with the 4wd fully loaded fusion versus a base model camry and accord. LOL. If you're going to compare cars, make sure its apples to apples.
I don't think you can blame Ford for offering their vehicle for less with more options or options such as AWD.

The Fusion and the Impalla are the Fugliest cars built right now, both ford and GM have no design quality, everything looks bland, and chevy doesnt ever want to get out of their pushrod engines,which suck. The impalla is only selling for fleets and for Cops. Plus Ford is trying to make every car they make look like their damn trucks.peer Ugly
You might thing pushrod is "Old Technology" but its not going anywhere soon. Id prefer a pushrod V8 Engine to many dohc/ohc Engines out there.

#1 its been "pontified" I think the original Holden would sell MUCH better if they kept the Holden name and everything. Dont make it a pontiac, just sell the Holden Commodore.
#2 the american public doesnt "get" the V8 familly car. .. to them a familly car is a SUV. They just dont get or embrace the concept. It works in Australia because its been that way for 30+ years..its an icon.

I dont think the issue at hand here is strictly build quality, and ill be the first to admit i was and wont be happy with ford for a long period. Based on my experiences, im not sure i could purchase another in warranty ford and feel comfortable dealing with dealerships, and the god awful customer support i had to deal with during the somewhat miserable time I owned a ford vehicle. I do understand any full production vehicle will have faults, and if they are dealt with accordingly, i would have found no problems there.
Out of all the service departments ive dealt with, and of all the manufacturers i have also dealt with, the multiple ford dealers AND customer hotline were TERRIBLE! I just hope they can suit up these departments to match the supposed upcoming and maintenance of the "quality" products they produce. I havent owned any GM product as of late, so no comments there, but the few ford service depts. and customer support representatives were NEVER helpful, damaged my truck more, or returned it to me without the requested repair. This wasnt one place either.

Show me a ohc engine that can keep up with the gm pushrod v8 engines n/a that is in a comparable price range. You can't. Its either going to have forced induction or it costs a shit load of money.

Genius, pushrod engine was developed for the racing project in nascar. I don't think they put them in the v8 lexus lol. Oh yeah ford fusion awd v6 starts at 24k not 22. Toyota did NOT produce that pushrod engine, they got it from Ford because Ford uses Toyota's Hybrid technology.

please name me a motor that can even TOUCH the LS7, pushrod technology is ancient, that's a fact. to say it sucks is flat out ignorant because GM is doing things with "POS" pushrod motors that other manufacturers can only dream of.
