It can happen to any automaker. Some people are just retarded and don't maintain the car. The article even said that the cause of the sludging was still a question. Let me offer an answer; 'tards buying Camrys and those truck-things didn't change the oil. Engines sludged up, lots of them. Tards sue because they know nothing and don't want to pay to fix the car they broke.

How is this news?
+1

i agree completly.... morons..

Ok you want facts here's facts and not opinion Orion. Go to www.automotivenews.com look for Jan 07 issue where it has an article called "SLUDGE JUDGE" and look where it says 3.5 MILLION!!!!!!! TOYOTA and LEXUS vehicles that have been damaged by sludge up. Stick that in your fuckin pipe and smoke it up. Please bring up Daimler Chrysler Powertrain issues of recent notice cause according to industry reports Daimler Chrysler has had an 80% decrease in powertrain warranty claims since '03. So if you wanna bring up the out of park transmission recall on LX platforms which by the way only 45 possible affected vehicles, and since there was only 3 reported incidents on wheels coming off Durango's and 2 of those were found because an aftermarket wheel shop had foul'd up the studs and nuts mmmmm I can pretty much say not a manufacturer defect. So please send me more of your amazing car knowledge that you have obtained, and share it with all of us, ass. So in the infamous words of Owen Wilson "rule #5 - you're an idiot!"

Oh god, we've got some Toyota nutswinger and some Dodge nutswinger who both think their brands are king shit squaring off in here.

LEt me offer this:

Toyota's quality control nowadays DOES suck compared to what it used to be. They're going downhill, and I know several people with new toyotas who agree with that. Sadly, your 20 year old Supra that barely ever sees asphalt doesn't give you an accurate depiction of the current state of Toyota's cars.

And as for Dodge.........................................
Lets just call them following the same upward trend as the rest of domestic car manufacturers. With that said, theres no way in hell I'd ever own one.

Thank you an unbiased point of view, all I am sayin is be accurate if you're gonna make a statement have some truth to back it up not your own personal extremly biased opinion. I agree 20 years ago Toyota quality was extremly tough to beat, but now they're having the same Q&A problems domestics did back years ago.

Quality is good, trying to deal with SOA on warranty issues is a whore though.

The quality is good enough for me, i dont care if everyone else bitches about it (if they do).

I would rather have a sludged motor than a "random" engine fire in a ford which could kill me or destroy a house(it burned our neighbors porch, half of thier newer impala, and of course the ford f150 to the ground). The only blow toyota will have is on the u.s truck market this year the new tundra is the shit.

Except despite your story (which I know the cause of, do you?) the F150 is still ranked by everyone as the best truck in its class.

So, in spite of what you'd rather have, the Tundra can suck my balls because compared to what the F150 has, it is a peice of shit
