I'm probably one of the few people who hasnt noticed a damn difference in changing differential and transmission oil...but I have noticed a damn difference.

Tranny turret oil, very very much so, otherwise no.

Regardless, I prefer nice new speshal fluids...although I used Redline

I've used Royal Purple and Mobil 1. I was a big Mobil 1 fan since I used to work for Mobil. I run Mobil 1 in my 97 Eclipse RS but I will be running Royal Purple on the 90 Laser RS. Royal Purple I would say is better then Mobil 1. But I would recommend both, if you can't afford the dollar more for Royal Purple then use Mobil 1.

BTW, Royal Purple and a K&N oil filter make a nice combo IMO.

Alright..Was at pepboys the other day and saw Lucas Synthetic Motor oil right next to the royal purple..was about 40 cents cheaper.. Anyone use it...Just as good as royal purple...Better, or worse?

I think it's in the $5 dollar range in walmart.

 

i just use castrol right now but my next oil change ill use RP and ill post my resaults if this thread is still alive
