Default Royal Purple Motor Oil

I've heard good things about Royal purples gear oil and such but how is there motor oil? Saw some at pepboys today for $6.63 a quart. And was thinking about using that for my next oil change..Is it worth the high price?

We use it in our shop, and I have been told that its better than Mobil1.

I'm not really sure if thats true or not, the customers that come and requset Mobil1 haven't had a problem buying the Royal Purple in its place.

My buddy uses it religously in his RSX-S. Never had one problem and it runs butter smooth. I prefer Redline myself. Its about a dollar more a quart (then shipping b/c I haven't found someone local who carries it). Redline runs a bit smoother in my car than the Royal Purple, don't know why, but it does. Royal Purple is a great oil though, so run it. I think I saw it once for $5.99/qt at NAPA, but I'm not sure if it was a sale price or not.

I run Royal Purple in all my vehicles. I used to use Moble1 and switched when Moble 1 got to be the same price as RP. If you look on there website and read about some of the research and additives they use you'll be impressed with it I think.

If I didnt get a certain synthetic oil for free I'd be using it. From what I have seen with it (mostly DSMInduction's car) it sure does live up to its name!
