Don't get me wrong, i think the evo is a great car. I just dont like the shifter. I drove an sti and thought it was a bit more pleasurable to shift. Question is:
Can the evo be made to shift like a honda?
15 dollar Buschur shifter bushings makes an enormous difference. Its not going to feel like a S2000 trans (but there's not many that feel that good), but I'd say it makes a very nice difference. Takes the slop out. Plus, upgrading the motor mount and its as good as it gets.

this is the worlds worst argument. Who cares about power per liter n/a, when what really matters is, how much power. Evo, 286, F22, 240. And what you DRIVE is torque, where there's a huge disparity of 280 to 153

Trust me, I was a honda guy through and through. I was tuning Hondata for everyone and their grandma 10 years ago. I've owned, built, or tuned about any kind of Honda you can think of. And I still think Honda builds a overall better car. But if I had one engine to put in a project to go fast, I'd start with a 4g63 over anything else.

Ls_[eg]hatch , It seems that this discussion has you a little but hurt, no one is directly talking down on any model engine. So why are you attacking the 4g63, did someone once walk there crank all over your Honda? Seriously whats the deal, your comments are not necessary nor wanted. Everyone has an opinion on what they think is better, to you an F22c lmao, to others something else. Me I like something with serious torque and an excellent way of getting it to the ground "awd". The 4g63 is an amazing platform and the only other awd platform I would want would be a turbo porsche but that would never happen LMAO.

lnf and lsj ecotec can hold over 400 hp stock internals, up too 29lbs of boost stock, forged rods, forged crank and revs to 7200rpm. Just as good as any sr20 the lnf is basically the same on paper as a s14 sr, 2.0L turbo with vvt. Idk why the 2.2 le4 ecotec is on there that is the motor for fuel economy not power.

Ford 2.0 liter ZETEC. It's versatile. Used in Formula Ford race cars and Sprint cars and everyday drivers. Very durable motor.

What about the old Dodge 2.2 ltr n/a and turbo motors. Bulletproof and can make serious power. Used in everything from minivans to Formula Dodges.

Can't forget the aircooled VW/Porsche flat 4 boxer engine. Probably the best of all time.
