Best 4-Cylinder Engine Ever (Poll)
The new 600cc motorcycles are putting about 110hp to the wheel which is about 183hp/liter to the ground. Figure 200hp/liter at the crank.

Holy old thread... Ill still add my .02... 4g63! I am not a direct fan of mitsubishi but they are extremely robust, torquey, and the heads flow fantastic even in stock form. K series would be my next choice!

It's hilarious that more people chose a b series over a k.

I take issue with that. My Evo trans has handled my relentless daily poundings, trips to the track, drifts, donuts, 16psi studder box crab walking launches, wheel hop, full throttle shifting (with and without the proper ECU tweaks), and generally just never giving thought to my tran's long term health. Approaching 80k miles, 5th is a little notchy now, but that's the only issue. Now in the old 1g/2g yeah their trans feel horrible too, but the Evo's a different animal.
,I'm not doubting the evo's transmissions strength......I just don't like how they shift. I agree that the Evo shifts better than the 1g/2g dsm, but not good enough to make me want to drive one fast. Don't get me wrong, i think the evo is a great car. I just dont like the shifter. I drove an sti and thought it was a bit more pleasurable to shift. Question is:
Can the evo be made to shift like a honda?
