and you're right, it's an AC car that shelby put a ford drivetrain into.
but he's not remaking them, Superformance makes some that are "licensed" by him in a way, but it's just to sell more. he really has nothing to do with them

its not 780ci for one the engine block and engine size aint right to be that many ci..plus that intake is a std ford intake..and with that many ci a std ford head would and couldn't move enough air on that size of an engine and it damn sure wouldn't make 1400hp..heres some pics of 738ci and up engines..last one is a 760 something ci engine with jon kasses ihra hemi/ford heads on it.

It is a 780.. It's been featured on TV shows and it's on their official website.. The size of a Cobra's engine bay is quite deceiving, it's much bigger than it looks in the pic. BTW half of the engine is covered by the body work in the pictures.

Yes the AC is a british chassis. The GT-40 chassis is purpose built race chassis. The GT-40 was designed to beat Ferrari at LeMans after Fords purchase of Ferrari fell through.
The coupe that FFR sells is a replica of the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe.

I believe Fritchard is the one on here who also has one. He got mad when I said I wanted one for my next car to drop a 4.5 inline 6 turbodiesel in one 
Also, to have it built the way I'd like it personally, it'd cost some $38k+, not as cheap as I thought, but concidering you are building a budget car from scratch with insane capabilities, you'd have to compare it to cars worth twice as much and over.
